Bespoke’s Director of Residential Lettings, Susie Davies, gives us some of the reasons she loves living in Monkstown.
I have been living in Monkstown for 5 years. It is a fantastic place to be with so many amenities. The lovely Dun Laoghaire West Pier is a great walk with views over to Howth, and lots of seals in the Harbour. Just up the road, Seapoint is a very popular swimming area all year around. The excellent transport links of the Dart and buses straight into town make it an easy commute to Central Dublin.
The village itself is home to some of the best restaurants. One of my favourite is That’s Amore a tiny Italian with a wonderful atmosphere and fantastic food. Book well in advance. We are lucky to also have Avoca on the Main Street with its amazing Irish produce and a great Butcher. Another big hit is George’s Fish Shop. Delicious fresh locally caught fish with an array of choice.
The shops cater for everything and everyone, from gardening equipment, designer clothes, appliance repairs, gift shop.
Monkstown has a family feel, popular with both young and old and still very much retains its village feel.
